The Centre de Sculpture Romane (Centre for Romanesque Sculpture) is the place to find out about the work of the Master of Cabestany, through over 60 reproductions. The Master of Cabestany was a mysterious 12th-century sculptor, whose work can be found in France (Pyrénées-Orientales, Aude), Italy (Tuscany) and Spain (Catalunya and Navarra). The Centre de Sculpture Romane consists of three sections, accessible to everyone:-The museum section: the permanent collection, the temporary exhibition room and an auditorium, which has been adapted to allow access to people with reduced mobility-The research section: a resource centre open to everyone on Wednesdays and Thursdays, subject to prior arrangement, comprising over 1,500 works on the Middle Ages, specialist art journals, works linked to the temporary exhibitions (contemporary art, photos, graffiti, etc.)-The creativity section: with two rooms for learning workshops.
