Description

description in French  Located in Paris, in the Bois de Vincennes, the Parc zoologique de Paris invites you to a trip around the world, to the amazement of young and old alike. On the occasion of its complete renovation in 2014, every detail was conceived to ensure animal welfare, as well as the quality of reception for our public. The zoo is especially mindful of the reception quality for our visitors with disabilities. Our reception staff has been trained in consequence.

Two parking spots for cars, as well as two drop off areas for buses are located next to the public entrance on Avenue Daumesnil. The n°46 and 201 bus stop also allows our visitors to be dropped off in front of the entrance.

Disabled persons and the person accompanying them both qualify for free admission upon presentation of supporting documents, on site on the day of the visit. To reduce the waiting time, a checkout is dedicated to this public.

The zoo is entirely accessible to people with motor disability. The route is accessible to wheelchairs (concrete floor...).

The main route, which allows you to see all the emblematic species, runs over 3 km of route. If you take the secondary paths, which give access to the view of the clinic, the Great aviary, the European vivarium... the route is extended by one km. The path is flat with the exception of two stairways (step facing the sea lion pool and footbridge in front of the rhinos) which are well signposted.

In case of fatigue, benches are installed regularly throughout the course.

The zoo welcomes people with mental disabilities for an adapted discovery of animals and vegetation, thanks to richly illustrated materials and the use of pictograms.

Visiting the Paris Zoological Park is essentially visual. Some devices have an audio tape (video screen in each exploration kiosk), but the video is captioned. Most multimedia devices do not have sound. Our smartphone app is available in multiple languages.

Finally, markings on the ground have been put in place to facilitate the sense of direction, in complete autonomy, of visiteurs with visual impairments. Guide dogs for the blind held in a suitable harness are authorized in the park, but they are not allowed in the Sahel-Sudan aviary and in the Tropical Greenhouse where free-roaming birds circulate.

Several sanitary facilities with disabled access can be found along the route.
