  The Terroirs du Vertige estate is located in the Hautes Corbières wine growing area, just below Cathar castles Quéribus, Peyrepertuse and Villerouge-Termenès. Here the vine, buffeted by the strong wind, known as the Cers, clings to the steep, narrow slopes of the Hautes Corbières, last of the foothills before the Pyrenees.The vineyard stands on patches of sloping ground, in the midst of a cliff-side of schist and clay. Growing on this lofty terrain, the Carignan, Grenache and Syrah varieties give the wines a very special character: the taste of wide open spaces and the flavour of nature in the raw.130 growers carry on the cultivation of vines and the production of wine, bringing together age-old tradition and modernity to craft rich and fruity wines.
