LE MAS DU BELIER

  This delightful restaurant was founded in 1979 by Nicolas?s parents. It stands on the banks of the Cèze river, just below the picturesque village of La Roque sur Cèze, a short walk from the listed Charles Martel bridge and the Sautadet waterfalls. With its superb terrace overlooking the river, the place appeared to be perfect for creating Le Mas du Bélier (the farmhouse of the ram). The origin of the restaurant?s name is to be found in the two sculptures of rams that adorn the chimney breast. For ten years the kitchen has been run by Dorothée, who exercises her skills with enthusiasm, forever looking for another good product, always doing her best to feature what has been locally produced. Nicolas plays his part by welcoming guests with professionalism and kindness. He also spends a great deal of time on his wine list, which comprises solely Côtes du Rhône.
