Location
Description
An architectural jewel built to the glory of the kings of France, the Cordouan lighthouse has been guiding seamen at the mouth of the Estuary for over 400 years. It is necessary to climb 301 steps leading to the lantern before enjoying, suspended between sky and sea, an extraordinary panorama. Access to the site is only by boat at low tide. On site, the keepers welcome you.
