Against a background theme of population displacement, the granting of asylum and hospitality, come and see how the development of the hat making industry in the 19th century shaped the architecture of the village and how the Judes internment camp, opened in 1939 to house Spanish refugees during the Retirada (Retreat) made Septfonds a significant remembrance site bearing witness to the conflicts of the Second World War.

La Mounière offers a scenographic space and two walks for prolonging the visit, one exploring the hat making industry and the other the memorial sites related to the Judes internment camp.
