Description
In the center of a territory steeped in history between Lyon and Switzerland, in the former prison of the city of Nantua, the museum offers a living tour of the Second World War, accessible to all. Centered on the inhabitants of Ain, the course emphasizes the strategic challenges of this territory during the war. The different themes are illustrated by an exceptional collection originally assembled by protagonists of the time: weapons, everyday objects, uniforms... Finally, testimonies, archive films and reconstructions take the visitor to the heart of history.
