Description

description in French  Reims, a two-thousand-year-old city, was the witness of many major events in the History of France: the baptism of Clovis at the end of the 5th century, the crowning of 33 kings of France and, more recently, the signature of the German surrender on 7 May 1945 and the Franco-German Reconciliation on 8 July 1962.

Reims is privileged with having twice received the UNESCO distinction, in 1991 for the Notre-Dame cathedral, the Tau Palace and the former Saint-Remi abbey, and in 2015 for “Hillsides, Champagne Houses and Cellars”.

And Reims is also known for its vineyard which produces the most famous wine in the world, a wine for celebrations, “the wine for kings, the king of wines".

The Tourist Office of the Greater Reims is proud to represent the destination, proud to share with its visitors its love for the city and for the vineyard. And the sharing is made through various means, when we speak with the visitors at the Reception Office or when we answer requests received by email or through social networks, or thanks to our guides who share their knowledge during our guided tours, and finally thanks to our shop and our online shop, filled with local gourmet products and original ideas for presents, creations from our local craftspeople.
