Location
Description
Salses Fortress: watchtower over the Catalan border (15th - 17th Centuries). Built at the end of the 15th Century by the Spanish, the fortress watched over the former frontier between Catalonia and France. Its revolutionary architecture is a rare and original example of transition between a Mediaeval castle and a modern stronghold.
