  Under the sky, under the ocean : this is the concept behind the building designed by new York architect Steven Holl. The architect has created a wave design, beneath which a vast area of 2000 sqm is dedicated to learning about the ocean. Innovative in both its architecture and content, the Cité de l’Océan offers visitors a journey of discovery and a chance to see a living ocean which demands our respect. How was the ocean created? How does it work? What are its moods, its vulnerabilities, and so on? Your visit will be highly interactive, with a mix of fun, learning and science. Ultra-modern technology will give visitors a totally new and revolutionary experience at the very heart of the ocean. Descend to the deepest depths of the Gouf of Capbreton, observe the ocean from an underwater base, get caught in a storm or find yourself facing a big wave, discover the ocean as you have never seen him.
