Location
Description
Located at the foot of the rock, the Solutré Museum of Prehistory presents the collections of one of the richest prehistoric sites in Europe: a hunting site frequented since 55,000 B.P. (before present) by hunters who came to kill, skin and butcher thousands of horses and reindeers. The huge accumulation of bones on the site is the source of the legend of the horses thrown by the hunters from the top of the rock.
