Close to the city center, in the heart of a centuries-old garden, discover the collections of the Crozatier museum. A place for the whole family combining tradition and modernity.
Tactile models, talking boards, interactive tablets... so many devices that allow you to understand the masterpieces of this multifaceted museum. Your quest for knowledge first leads you in the footsteps of the first inhabitants of Velay, passing through Egyptian Antiquity with the famous mummies!
You then make a stop in the Middle Ages with the fantastic capitals, the ceremonial furniture and the goldsmith's pieces.
You are now in the gallery of fine arts where masterpieces abound: the exceptional Virgin in the mantle, the portrait of the sulphurous Queen Margot or the sculpture of Jean de La Fontaine, but above all, the real, the unique Vercingetorix laying down his arms before Caesar!
You then explore the science gallery. You are confronted with the imposing Mastodon of Auvergne. The volcanoes of the Puy basin are displayed on large screens. Stuffed animals from here and elsewhere advance in procession, inventions and machines set in motion..
