Description
he Museum of Art and Archaeology is located in the city centre, in the buildings of the former national studs. Through a dense selection of paintings and sculptures, the Fine Arts section offers a chronological journey from the late Middle Ages to the contemporary period. On the first floor, the archaeology section reveals the history of the Cantal since prehistory, completed by the reconstruction of a traditional cantalien interior. The ground floor is dedicated to the manufacture of the umbrella, the flagship of the local industry.
